  1. Just had lunch at Don Che's, first day open. Great ambiance and decor. My wife had the mushroom soup, which I also tasted, and it was wonderful. The steak sandwich was tasty and temperature perfect. However, due to the cut it was particularly chewy. It was the same cut as the lunch steak special, which was also cooked perfectly but chewy. I'm not so sure I'd offer that cut as the lunch steak special as it wouldn't necessarily encourage customers to come back to experience a better cut for supper. It would perhaps be okay on the sandwich if it were sliced thin after cooking, prior to plating. The sirloin or ribeye would seem to be a better choice for both the special or the sandwich IMHO. Loved the Chimichurri sauce. The salad was fresh. The fries were good. Delays are the norm for any restaurant on the first day, I understand that. Lunch customers usually have a limited amount of time so lunch service needs to be efficient and timely, otherwise folks won't frequent your place for lunch. As a business owner in Oviedo, we'd love to see you succeed. There is a lot of competition here though for a limited customer base so you'll need to be above excellent. You really changed the look and feel of the place for the better, now focus on serving the best food possible and you will succeed. I'll be back soon!

  2. Thank you Kevin for your patronage at Don Che Argentinian Steakhouse and Italian cuisine. We appreciate your comments and suggestions and value every guest opinion. Our first day was quite overwhelming as we had double the amount of guests we had anticipated - great for sales, but not so great for those who endured the wait! We are certainly working hard to surpass the expectations of our local patrons and are confident we will achieve our goal. We'll see you on your next visit.
